On the 12th, 13th and 14th of December, the Conference “Security, Democracy and Cities: The Future of Prevention” will be held in France.

Organized by EFUS (European Forum for Urban Security) in partnership with Aubervilliers and Saint-Denis (France), this interdisciplinary and international conference will be dedicated to the exchange of practices, experience and knowledge on crime prevention in Europe and around the world.

At this Conference, where it will be discussed topics related to drug abuse, minorities, organized crime and violence against women, will also be held lectures with experts in various fields in order to evaluate the urban security policies over the past 25 years, the challenges for the future of prevention as well as the main themes discussed by local authorities. Another highlight of this conference will be the adoption of the Manifesto which will reflect the political position adopted.

This initiative, in which 800 attendants from all over the world are expected, is addressed to all those who are involved in urban security, such as local authorities, security professionals, social workers, researchers, and representatives of civil society.
